TEXT ON THE BACK SIDE
Time is an elusive thing. It's easy to waste on things that don't really matter.
Take TV, for example. It's not hard to keep watching. Before you know it, three sitcoms and one newscast later, it's time for bed.
And the things that matter - like time with your kids or reading your Bible - get the leftovers. It's the age-old "tyranny of the urgent" with a twist: it's now "tyranny of the convenient." We settle for the comfortable, rather than sacrifice for the valuable.
What does your schedule say about your prioritites? Have you devoted as much time this week to your relationship with God as you did to watching the news? What do you really want - kids who know how to play soccer, or kids who obey? A great social life, or a pure thought life? Sports, shopping, and sleep, or family unity?
Coming soon in this church is a special opportunity for you to experience spiritual renewal. But like all valuable things in life, it will take time. The question is, how much time are you willing to spend...to get what you've always wanted?
Don't let the routine crowd out the priceless. If you make this investment of time, it will yield the dividends of a lifetime!
"Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." Matthew 6:33
