TEXT ON THE BACK SIDE:

No need for concern.  Just another appointment on my calendar...

But the look on my doctor's face said otherwise.  Had he discovered something during the exam? Was my relatively problem-free existence about to change?

"There is something I'd like to take a closer look at," he said.  "I'm going to order a few tests."

How long has it been since your last spiritual check-up?

If the Great Physician were to check your spiritual health, what would He find? Would His diagnosis bring good news or a few tests? In any case, you wouldn't want to skip the appointment or ignore His advice.

In the coming days we are asking God to bring us to His examination room.  When He searches our hearts, we can expect Him to reveal needs...and offer hope. If we respond in obedience to the Healer of our hearts, the long-term prognosis will be excellent.
