FAQs for the Parents

So, your child, who is now taller than you and is not really a child anymore, came up to you and asked, "What about this whole Life Action traveling thing?" How did you respond? Did you suddenly get a knot in your stomach, or did you jump off the couch with shouts of joy? However you responded, let us put your mind at ease and answer some questions you might be pondering.

1. How will my child live comfortably with such a limited amount of money each month?

Even though some team members live on a very small amount of money each month, the Lord always takes care of them. They have the privilege of living by faith, and they get to watch God bless them in amazing and unexpected ways. Not only do they gain trust and confidence in the Lord, but they mature in how they spend their time, money, and other resources.

2. How can I communicate with my child while they travel?

The team will usually have Internet access and cell phone reception, so these are great ways to keep in touch. Also, you are always welcome to visit them while they travel.

3. Where are the teams going this year?

4. What is the weather like in Buchanan, MI, where the teams train?

Yes, it does actually get quite warm here during the summer. Usually it's in the 70s and 80s during our staff training.

5. What does the leadership of the team look like?

The teams each have a main Revivalist and his family, and some teams have other couples in leadership. They, along with Team Director and Team Manager, will lead the team throughout the year to seek the Lord and to encourage the team members to grow in Christ.

6. How long is a team member's commitment?

Each team member commits for one year at a time. Their travel-year commitment begins in July and ends in July of the following year if they are not returning for a second year. This time includes Staff Training, traveling, and then helping with Family Camps in June and possibly in July (depending on the schedule that year).

7. What do team members do when they leave the ministry?

Some team members go on to become pastors, missionaries, or full-time ministry workers, and to have families that are passionate for the Lord. Whether working in full-time ministry or serving the Lord in the workforce, many have a godly influence on their families, friends, and communities.
