I remember you from a class 30 years ago. It was in Anoka Voteck and you gave us an awsome speech. You also spoke on our graduation. It was a Human Service class. I was 19 then and I am 50 now. I have never forgotten you. You were a wonderful interesting speaker. I hope the lady that taught you how to speak lived long enough to know what an impact she made. I still have your picture from that 2nd speech. Best Wishes. You are really a success story like Homeless to Hardvard.................................

Dr. Don Bartlette was a keynote speaker at a conference that I was at a few years ago. He was the keynote speaker for the general closing session. He told his Macaroni at Midnight story. I would say that everybody that was there like hearing him. I got to hear his story in person, but I did not meet him and talk to him. His story brought tears to my eyes. Now whoever said what is in post 5, I see as being libelous. Because that comment was NOT necessary, as that is NOT true. So YES I would like to know why that person would say something like that. So if the person that made the comment in post 5 comes back here and sees this, Please post again explaining why you said this and Please be specific. As saying something like that could get get you sued.

Heard "Macaroni at Midnight" on Radio, Dr. Dobson program many years ago. Our minister is giving sermons on encouragement, and this old radio program "Macaroni at Midnight" flooded my heart and soul. I looked it up on network, and found so much information , ordered the DVD. Our God is so great to bring the right things to us.

I remember Dr. Bartlette coming to my reservation and giving this speech when I was very young. I think I was 12 when I first heard it and I never ever forgot it. I have been looking for the titled book "macaroni at midnight" for 15 years, searching libraries and bookstores. I am happy to say I have just ordered it online and cannot wait to read it.

If you haven't seen Dr. Bartlette in person to hear his speech than I suggest you not call him a false speaker. My high school principal grew up with Dr. Bartlette, one of the administrator's at my school went to college with him. His story is not false or lies.

Don, You were my counselor at the Methodist Children's Home (the Village) in MI back in 67-68' . I remember you well. You helped me cope with bullies, teenage craziness and a lot more I wont go into here. Great to see you are still following your calling and using your gifts. Touch base sometime, I'd love to talk. Jeff

I just heard Dr. Bartlett speak in Texas at the National Independent Living Conference. His story was extremely moving to say the least, but when he sang his song...well...all I can say is I was so moved and felt as though I had just recieved an incrediable gift, and for that Dr. Bartlett, I Thank You!

Was so touched by Dr. Bartlette today. He came to our Career Center today to talk to our entire student body and staff!! Wow, what a message, had a tear in my eye more than once!! Many students were talking about him during the rest of the morning and afternoon. He has a message that anyone who thinks they got it tough needs to hear!!! You have not seen tough till you hear this mans story. Hope the movie is as good a the live version.

I heard you speak at the KVC Conference 2011. My husband and I were very moved when hearing about the story of your life. I thank you for sharing your story with the rest of the world becasue it discusses topics that people don't like to discuss and it changes lives.

I have heard Dr. Bartlette speak twice and both times he amazed the audiences with his touching stories. Working in the field of intellectual disabilities for 25 years, I know we need heroes like Dr. Barlette. He must continue to advocate for fair, just and humane treatment. He must continur to let others hear of the injustices done to him so that this never happens to another child born with a disability. Sometimes after a long day at work, I listen to his Macaroni at Midnight CD and he gives me hope and inspiration that we must make a difference and we must always put the person with the disability first and never stop trying~Thank you Dr. Bartlett..God Bless You
