Since when has resting been one of your New Year's Resolutions? At Resolution—a purposeful, fun, winter family retreat at the Life Action Camp—speaker Tom Harmon challenged 32 families to rest in God by resting in His gospel, goodness, and grace during the New Year. The families were challenged by and continued to talk about these concepts even after the sessions had ended. This is what some of them had to say about the weekend:

"God used this weekend to refocus our family on His Word. We made commitments to each other to become a better father, mother, sister, brother, uncle, aunt, son, daughter ... a more Christlike and united family! He also worked in our extended families' hearts to openly discuss some lingering "Satan-induced" feelings a lot of us have been harboring. We prayerfully discussed these with open hearts and made some real progress this weekend. Thank you for providing the platform!"

"Between this weekend and a couple of other things going on in my life, I have really embraced the value of setting goals (especially spiritual) for me and my family. Every time I am here, I am brought back to the importance of being a godly man and leader of my wife and home. I also LOVE Tom's reminder of how it is none of me that gets me saved—but all of God and Jesus."

"It was a wonderful and refreshing weekend to reconnect with God and reflect over the past year. I learn so much under Mr. Harmon, and I have felt my faith grow even over this weekend. He has encouraged me to memorize more Scripture, and for this year I want to embrace the gospel, to study it and to know it better."

"Thank you for a great weekend! The encouragement to obey God and also memorize Scripture was appreciated. We plan to pay attention more to keeping one day set apart each week and resting in God—His gospel, His goodness, His grace."

I thoroughally enjoyed playing the part of the princess, with or without Mike's scheming ahead of time. We love you guys so much. Brother Tom is always so real and so transparent. To see the look on Joyce's face as he preaches is priceless. To hear stories about Ben and Brian and their daughters and grandkids is wonderful and heart warming. We are very blest to have been present for the third year in a row for Resolution. We put it on our caledar right away and then try to plan accordingly. It is a wonderful family time and the kids really enjoy all the new friends they meet and interact with. God bless!
