This past month we've hosted two Pastors' Retreats at The Lodge. Pastors have found these retreats to be a time of being refreshed, strengthened in their marriage, and recharged for returning to ministry. Several have commented that they've gained fresh perspective on how God can work in their church in revival.
Here are a few testimonies from pastors who recently visited The Lodge:
- This retreat has been a welcomed "time out" to reflect on what we are doing and why and for whom we are doing it. God used this retreat to minister to us through words of wisdom from the Word and through life experience spoken from a pastor's heart!
- Thanks to Life Action and the entire staff at The Lodge for helping to create a marvelously enjoyable and enriching week for my wife and me. We had an absolutely wonderful time!
- We deeply appreciated the spiritual encouragement and affirmation that was poured out on us through the small group sessions and the building of personal relationships with other pastors and their wives. This was an extremely refreshing and rewarding retreat. We are literally eternally grateful!
- We came dry, discouraged, and disillusioned. This week offered us an opportunity to revive, restore, and rest. We had life spoken into us and truth shared with us. We go back with a new perspective and a renewed passion. It has been a powerful and liberating week. The last night was moving, motivational, and meaningful. My face hurts from laughing so much!
- Because of the mixture of sessions and personal time, we were able to spend time with each other as a couple. It has drawn us closer together. We've also been ministered to through the sharing of other couples as they've talked about their struggles, joys, and activities. It has truly been a sweet time where our souls have been touched. Our spirits have been refreshed, and our relationship with each other and the Lord has been renewed.
