Over the past 40 years, Life Action has been blessed to be engaged in many prayer gatherings on behalf of our nation. Each time has been a huge blessing, and I believe the heart of God has been moved—perhaps a reason why the most severe form of judgment has not already fallen on our nation.

Another powerful prayer gathering is taking place this coming Saturday. As you may be aware, thousands of people will be gathering at Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, on August 6 to pray for spiritual breakthrough in our nation. The Response (this day of prayer and fasting) is a serious call to repentance through prayer. It reads, in part:

"Right now, America is in crisis. We have been besieged by financial debt, terrorism, and a multitude of natural disasters. As a nation, we must come together and call upon Jesus to guide us through unprecedented struggles.... Some problems are beyond our power to solve, and according to the book of Joel, chapter 2, this historic hour demands a historic response."

Many evangelical leaders, sensing the critical need to cry out to God, are encouraging Christians across America to join in prayer and fasting.

Because you share Life Action's mission to see a sweeping revival and spiritual awakening in America, I'm sure you would want to know about this event. Please join me in a day of prayer and fasting for America!

Praying for genuine revival,

Our God is faithful. In His Word, he says "If my people, who are called by My name, will HUMBLE themselves and PRAY, and SEEK My face and TURN from their wicked ways, then I will HEAR from heaven, I will FORGIVE their sins and wiill HEAL their land." II Chron. 7:14

The time has come to cry out to God, nationally, church wide and especially personally.

Our nation is in crisis financially, morally, spiritualy and the only help will come from God when we get on our knees alone with Him. He still loves us or He would have destroyed us by now.
