Ministry Updates

This past weekend, the Life Action Camp kicked off its summer Family Camp outreach with a 4-day Memorial Day Family Camp! Life Action's Family Camps are designed to help families pause, reconnect, and engage—a vacation with a purpose.

Eighteen families attended, and not only did they have a blast, but God did some amazing things in their hearts and lives as well. Here are a few of the testimonies we received from the weekend:

"This retreat has taught me so much regarding relationships with my wife and children. I have learned strategies regarding communication and problem solving, and I have initiated an action plan for making our family a success. The time spent here has been so beneficial for helping our family grow as a unit in Christ."

"This week God showed me the next step in restoring a difficult relationship. Not only should I pray for this person (and myself), I need to choose grace in my behavior. I must not only be willing to forgive; I need to demonstrate my love in order to truly be free of the guilt, bitterness, and resentment. I thank God for bringing me closer to Him through this relationship."

"This weekend was timely to reflect on how the Lord has guided us, on ways we're parenting our children, and on how to pick up some tools for areas we haven't been as consistent in."

"God used this weekend to guide us in preparing for my extended absence. He gave us insight on things we need to discuss or plan prior to my departure, as well as providing an atmosphere where we could relax and engage as a family. Having strong relationships with each family member will be crucial while I'm gone. Thanks so much for being God's vessels to prepare us for the road ahead!"

"My husband is leaving soon to begin training for his new job with the secret service. We will have very little time together as a family over the next 18 months. Honestly, I am overwhelmed at the idea of being mom and dad for the longest time we will be apart. I feel strengthened and equipped after hearing the wisdom Del shared. Every area he addressed is an area where I am weak and have failed miserably during past times of separation. I am not going to just survive this time apart-the kids and I are going to thrive!"

The upcoming eight weeks of Family Camp are virtually sold out, and we are thrilled to be ministering to over 225 families through our Camp ministry this summer. We would appreciate your prayers that God would continue to use this outreach to strengthen families and ingite a passion for Christ in the hearts of those who attend.
