Wow! We had no idea the Summit is still going on! We will be in prayer for Charleston, TN and the work that God is doing there, and the lives that are and will be touched as a result of repentant, broken hearts turned toward Him!

Part of the Red Team is still in Charleston, TN, in a summit that was scheduled to end April 20. But God wasn't finished using the team there. They adjusted their schedule to continue the summit, into a fourth week now. Following is an update from revivalist Laine Johnson:
The Lord continues to be gracious. The church is having great impact through meeting physical needs in the community, also looking for "divine moments" to serve in the name of Christ. We are in one of those areas hard hit by storms on Wednesday (April 27). We had an amazing candlelight and baptismal service Wednesday night. During that service, another tornado actually touched the ground not far from us.
There were six confirmed tornados on the ground in this county on Wednesday during a twelve-hour period. Currently, there are nine confirmed deaths, 326 homes destroyed, and thousands still without electricity. For three days, work crews from the church have gone out after our 6:30 a.m. prayer meetings. It is both an opportunity and a distraction.
Thursday night was given to testimonies, prayer, preaching the Word (about being salt and light), and a commissioning service. (We were facing backwards to see a screen, since part of the auditorium was still without electricity. That was alright, though, since God has His people very flexible to His will.)
Almost the entire audience stood to be commissioned to bear the name of Christ faithfully, and nearly sixty remained standing to indicate a willingness to be part of teams that would go and give testimony at local churches on Sunday or during the upcoming days. Thus far, fourteen churches have agreed to accept a team to come and share.
Oh, that the Lord would pour forth His Spirit in conviction, brokenness, and prayer; that there would be a great movement of humility, prayer, seeking Him, and repentance (2 Chronicles 7:14)!
Sunday (May 1) will be our fourth Sunday together. We will continue having joint services and combined Sunday school. The church will continue to meet through Thursday evening, but our team is planning to leave town Thursday morning. Several teams from this church will be out sharing in other churches.

Incredible!!!! The hand of God continues to astound me and I covenant with you to pray for a ceaseless outpouring of His Spirit upon your congregation and a "double portion" of the power upon the Church as they go out and are sent to share the mighty works of the Lord in other churches. We just had the White Team at our Church for 10 days and our time brought the beginnings of brokenness. This was not what we expected but it is what God had for us and we are praying that He will continue His work here at Oakwood Baptist in Chattanooga. My prayer is that He will not remove me from the altar till He is done. Please pray for our church that there will be more brokenness, conviction of sin, and healing of marriages and relationships. We need God's Holy Spirit to be present in our services. Pray that God will lead men and women to gather together for daily prayer for our staff, church family, and community. Pray that God will receive all the glory, honor, and praise from His people and that we will rejoice in making His name known.
