Ministry Prayer Calendar

“It was the Second Great Awakening (1790–1845) that produced our most powerful student revivals and the prayer movement that sustained them. This outpouring of grace was the fruit of the renewed monthly Concerts of Prayer in the mid-1780s.
— David Smithers

11 The Lodge hosts a retreat this weekend for some ministry friends who share our vision for great spiritual revival and awakening in America. Ask God to use these days for His purposes.

12 Pastor Bobby Moore, a great friend of our ministry for many years, went home to his Lord this past December. Pray that God's hand will be on his wife and family, and that God would raise up more godly men like him to help mentor our leadership and protect our ministry's integrity.

13 Mike Harris, Sunu Thomas, Vicci Puckett, and Louise Thompson faithfully serve at our National Ministry Center in the Staff Services Department. Ask God to give them wisdom for their tasks and to empower them by His Spirit.

14 A Romantic Reflections retreat for pastors and their wives is being held at The Lodge today through Wednesday. Ask God to wash these couples with His refreshing presence and power so that they may serve their families and congregations well in coming days.

15 Our home staff is usually battling ice and Midwest blizzards this time of year in Michigan. Please pray for our safety.

16 Pray for pre-summit staff this weekend as they help prepare the congregations at Beech Haven Baptist Church in Athens, Georgia, and Candies Creek Baptist Church in Charleston, Tennessee, for future ministry by the Blue Team and Red Team, respectively.

17 The Lodge is hosting an appreciation weekend for several couples and individuals who share our vision for revival and help make the logistics of our ministry possible. Pray that God increases passion in these days for all He desires to do in our land.

18 The Life Action Camp has hosted father/daughter retreats for many years as a way of building this important relationship. Recently they began devoting an entire day to fathers and daughters, with much success. Pray for the fathers and daughters being welcomed tomorrow for another day of ministry.

22 Dan and Vicci Puckett joined Life Action with their young children many years ago. As grandparents now, they continue to diligently serve, every year directing logistics for our teams and equipment as well as mentoring individual team members. Vicci also serves in our Staff Services Department. Please cover them in prayer today.

23 Revive Our Hearts is recording radio programs today. Ask God to keep equipment working dependably and to powerfully anoint Nancy and others as they minister His Word.

24 Today is designated as the national Collegiate Day of Prayer, with the hope that many individuals and churches throughout our land would intercede for our universities, faculties, and students. Visit www.CollegiateDayOfPrayer.org for more on how to pray specifically.

25 One man who attended a Life Action retreat at The Camp wrote that the speaker that week, through God's Spirit, helped to "right the sinking ship" of his life. Ask God to give wisdom and power to our staff who regularly counsel others, so that those who are sinking may be saved.

26 Our pre-summit staff ministers tomorrow at Oakwood Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tennessee, helping them to prepare for upcoming meetings with the Revival Conference Team. Pray for God's Spirit to impress the congregation with His vision for their church and community.

28 Dennis Johnson oversees our Michigan-based Order Fulfillment Center, and Trina Crescenzi manages our shipping room. Both are responsible for getting life-building books, music, and other materials into the hands of thousands of people each year. Please pray for them today.

Live

The first cutting-edge commitment our ministry applies to all our decisions, plans, opportunities, and challenges is that of the lordship of Christ. This is fitting, because Scripture declares that God has given Christ the preeminence in all things.

The book of Hebrews challenges us to consider this Man, this God, who is the perfect reality of all that is holy, innocent, without stain, eternal, sufficient, persevering, faithful, immortal, complete, powerful ... we could go on and on!

What a comfort and security it is, when Christians feel overwhelmed by the pressures of the day, the unceasing details of life, the uncertainties of the times, to meet with this Christ in a quiet place. It is from Him that we draw our life and breath and all that we have. All that is good proceeds from Him, and none of man’s plans can prosper without the permission that comes from His authority.

Have you taken time today to consider our mighty and glorious Savior (Hebrews 12:3), who serves and rules by the power of His indestructible life (Hebrews 7:16 ESV)? The bottom line is, He is all you need. Finding Him, you find everything.

Give

Is there something in your life—a possession, a person, a plan for future good—that you are hesitating to give over to the Lord Jesus?

A youth pastor in Florida forty years ago, Del Fehsenfeld Jr. (our ministry’s founder), felt that his life was completely surrendered to Christ. Except for one area: He just knew that if he gave that area of his life over to Christ’s authority, then the Lord would certainly call him to be a missionary to a specific foreign continent, and he really didn’t want to go there.

One day in a prayer meeting with his youth group (“No pizza, no pop, no party, just a lot of prayer and a lot of power”), Del finally surrendered everything to Jesus, no matter the cost. Instead of sending him away from the U.S., God instead had a ministry for him to his own land; but He wanted Del first to be willing to obey wherever.

Are you withholding something you know God wants you to give? Would you surrender that today to the Lord, the Ruler of all? Will you obey Him and give as He directs, however He commands?
