I had the privilege to attend the Revive'11 conference in Indianapolis last week. In my heart, I was needing refreshment and encouragement to renew my enthusiasm for the women's ministry that I co-lead. During the conference, the Lord reminded me of two very important truths. First, I needed to humbly seek Him for wisdom and guidance in carrying out the ministry of Biblical Womanhood in my church and the sphere of influence in my life. (I was depending too much on "my efforts and my energy"!) Secondly, that I was to obediently focus my prayers for revival in my own heart and in the hearts of the women I serve.

Someone stopped me in a restaurant last week and asked why Life Action has a women's ministry. What is its purpose?
It took me about a half second to answer. "We have a women's ministry because I believe God may use women to bring about the next Great Awakening in America." I believe that about men, women, youth, and even children.
I do believe women are a key to widespread revival. It's been said that a wife determines the spirit of the home; therefore, don't they also determine the spirit of a church or ministry or culture? Who will deny that women are major influencers? William Ross Wallace was right: "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world."
This Friday and Saturday, over 1,000 women will gather in Indianapolis for the revive '11 leadership conference to hear how God could use them to influence thousands toward revival and awakening. The degree to which the world will be touched through this gathering is not based on how well it is planned or prepared. Nor is it based on how well Nancy Leigh DeMoss and others speak or sing. Rather, it is based on how well we pray. Will we pray through?
Leonard Ravenhill shared the following in a letter: "The midnight and the mountain air often witnessed Jesus' praying. But the lights of the prayer room have gone out in too many churches." My burden is that we will not let the lights of the prayer room go out in Life Action. Especially this weekend. Even if we are the last ones kneeling.
