A light shining brightly on America's college campuses

Collegiate Impact has the privilege of organizing and hosting one-day Ignition retreats on college campuses across America. CI partners with campus ministry groups and packs the 24 hours with intensive times of Scripture, prayer, and worship, aimed at the hearts of the students and their leaders.

Each Ignition retreat focuses on key principles (the outpouring of the Spirit, brokenness, authenticity, the living water of Jesus, repentance, prayer, worship/awe), and those attending come away refreshed, revived, challenged, changed.

If you believe God would desire an Ignition retreat at a campus near you, or at a college attended by your children, take the first step and inquire about the possibility.

Keep reading to see some comments by students who attended a recent Ignition retreat at Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana.

"Wow, where do I start? Although the retreat only lasted about 23 hours, I thought it was just the refreshing day that I needed. I wanted to be reminded of why I decided to become an RA in the first place, hoping to be reminded of my initial passions for what I wanted God to do this year. We learned to push back the darkness through strategic prayer, including praising the Lord for who He is, confessing sin through brokenness, and then receiving from Him what we ask.

"One sin the Lord brought forth in me that I thought I had already worked through was how Satan can control my mind and set me against others by twisting what they say in my mind. I cannot allow Satan to have that control, because victory belongs to Jesus.

"Another thing I enjoyed from the retreat was fellowship with brothers and sisters in Christ. There were a couple conversations I enjoyed that I had waited a long time to have. Definitely a refreshing and rejuvenating weekend. I was blessed to have the opportunity to go!"

. . . Refreshing—being reawakened to the joy that comes from praising God.

. . . Friday night was an awesome time spent in prayer and worship. It was like being on "cloud nine" with Jesus!

. . . There was a testimony given about feeling distant from God, and I felt the exact same way. The message at the retreat really brought forth how to get out of feeling distant from Him. I feel that after repentance and some time to just praise God for who He is, I have motivation and desire to read more of the Word and pray selflessly.

. . . The retreat was a time of reflecting on God's goodness, really seeing how His joy is my strength.

. . . A great way for me to get back on track and "fill up" when it comes to my walk my Christ. I feel like I have been running on "E" lately spiritually, so it was great to tune out the world and focus on God once again.

. . . The time of "pushing back the darkness" through praising God was especially meaningful and powerful.

. . . Amazing, a spiritually and physically refreshing
