“If we could learn to pray first and plan afterward, how different would be our homes, our churches,
our Bible studies. Maybe we are planning in one direction and God’s will is in another direction.”
— Evelyn Christenson

Pray for this conference, hosted by our Collegiate Impact outreach, today through Monday.
13 Continue interceding for the Ivy League Ignite conference, asking God to work powerfully in the hearts of the selected student leadership in these concentrated days of ministry. Visit www.IgniteIvy.com for more details.

Live
A well known Christian recently recounted a time when God’s Spirit prompted him to invite an atheist co-worker to attend church with him on Easter Sunday. The impression was quite strong, but the Christian knew the atheist would harshly ridicule him and his faith.
Finally, he obeyed God’s Spirit. The atheist did ridicule him and the resurrection of Christ, emphatically turning down the invitation, and the man questioned whether he had understood the Spirit’s prompting correctly.
Years later, however, another man related to him that he had been in the room behind a desk laying tile that day. Though the Christian had no idea anyone else was in the room, the temporary laborer heard every word, was deeply convicted, and told his wife they were going to church on Sunday. As a result, he and his wife and their teenage son came to Christ. The laborer personally thanked this Christian brother for his life-giving words that day.*
Even when we wonder why God has allowed our present circumstances, we can depend on Him to produce life in others as we obey His Spirit and live out His message.

Give
Is God prompting you to give to someone or some organization, but you can’t see how that gift will accomplish much, humanly speaking? Give in faith today, and in addition to giving financially, ask God how He might want you to donate time, goods, services, knowledge, etc. to help them.
Another way to greatly help a ministry or missionary is to introduce them and their work to your friends who can give. Can you think of others who would be interested in helping Life Action through your recommendation?
Will you share with them how God has influenced or changed your life, family, and church through this ministry?
