May 2010 Prayer Calendar

1 As Debby Canfield leads a Raising Boys seminar at Life Action Camp today, ask God to speak through her and greatly encourage the mothers in knowing how to raise their boys to deeply love Him and others.

2 The Blue Team begins a 15-day summit today at Calvary Baptist Church in Normal, Illinois. Pray that God's Spirit would pervade their presence with conviction and repentance, and that every life would be changed significantly.

3 New young adults are preparing to join our ministry road teams this summer. Please ask God to begin equipping them emotionally, physically, and spiritually for the training and ministry that awaits them.

4 Mark and Amy Bearden, now living in Texas, have served with Life Action for almost 22 years. This year, Life Action launched a revival prayer outreach under Mark's leadership. Pray that God would be pleased to anoint and enlarge this new ministry.

5 The Revival Conference Team is in the midst of an 8-day summit at Berean Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio. Pray for hearts to be challenged and changed through the power of God's Word.

6 Today is the 59th annual National Day of Prayer. Ask God to gather many to pray, especially for a great revival and spiritual awakening in our country. Also cry out for God to heed the prayers of His people, and praise Him that "He cares for those who trust in Him" (Nah. 1:7).

7 Pray that God will graciously give Collegiate Impact His message for this generation of 18.2 million college and university students seeking truth and meaning in life.

8 Ask the Lord to give Christians wisdom in the use of our time, a most precious gift. As Moses prayed, "Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (Ps. 90:12).

9 This Mother's Day, praise the Lord for the precious gift of godly mothers, past and present, who give of themselves so their children can know and experience God's tender love and grace.

10 Ask God to raise up Daniels and Esthers—bold men and women of God who will sacrificially stand for righteousness and truth in our time.

11 Pray that God would bless and multiply the impact of Revive magazine as it reaches thousands quarterly with God's Word.

12 Today the Red Team is part-way through an 11-day summit at West Jackson Street Baptist Church in Tupelo, Mississippi. Pray that God would anoint the team's ministry, and that the congregation would consecrate themselves before God so He can do amazing things among them (Josh. 3:5).

13 "'You are my witnesses,' declares the Lord, 'that I am God'" (Isa. 43:12). Ask the Lord to show you how you are witnessing to others that He is God, and ask Him how you might be a better witness for His glory.

14 This weekend Byron Paulus is leading a Partner Appreciation Weekend at The Lodge. Please ask the Lord to strengthen, encourage, and spiritually refresh the couples attending. Also lift up Ken and Jane Oswald, as they prepare the meals and graciously serve the guests.

15 Lift up our armed forces to our heavenly Father by asking Him to strengthen, protect, encourage, and draw them to Himself.

16 The Revival Conference Team begins a 4-day THIRST conference today at Green Ridge Baptist Church in Roanoke, Virginia. Pray for open and obedient hearts on the part of the congregation.

17 As the Revive Our Hearts daily radio program reaches thousands of women across the world, please pray that God's Word will penetrate and take root in their hearts, bearing much fruit for His glory.

18 Praise God that He "holds in his hand your life and all your ways" (Dan. 5:23). How wonderful and caring He is!

19 Pray for the Life Action Camp staff as they prepare for a busy summer of family camps beginning Memorial Day weekend and going through the end of July. Pray that God will begin preparing their hearts and those of the speakers and families attending.

20 This weekend is a Times of Refreshing retreat for Women's Ministry Directors at The Lodge, led by Revive Our Hearts staff. Pray that these women will be encouraged and renewed.

21 Liz Lockwood, from Kentucky, is raising prayer and financial support to join the Revive Our Hearts team. Please pray that her support will come in quickly.

22 Intercede today for your unsaved family members. May their hearts be opened to eternity, and may they embrace Jesus as their Savior and Lord.

23 Today the Revival Conference Team begins their last 4-day THIRST conference at Lakeside Baptist Church in Salem, Virginia. Pray earnestly for the church leaders, congregation, and city to experience a deep move of God.

24 Stacey Battenburg, Resource Manager for Revive Our Hearts, has served with Life Action for seven years. Praise the Lord for her hard-working, kind spirit, and pray that despite her busy schedule, she will make time to sit at Jesus' feet.

25 Dave Warn and Sunu Thomas with Collegiate Impact are traveling to Princeton University today and will stay there through May 30. As they seek to raise the level of prayer at this Ivy League campus, pray that many hearts will be sensitive to God and in awe of His power through prayer.

26 Praise the Lord for Jimmy Herdklotz, the Life Action Camp Director, and his wife, Lori, and their passion for the camping ministry. They have faithfully served here for almost 22 years, igniting and increasing people's love for Jesus.

27 Cristi Fredericks serves as an Administrative Assistant to Byron Paulus. Please pray that the Lord will continue providing for her financial needs and that she will seek Him continually.

28 This year's first Family Camp begins today! Please pray for this special Memorial Day weekend camp to go well and to glorify the Lord.

29 Remember the widows you know by asking for God's protection and provision for them. Pray also that their deep emotional needs would be met through His Word and His people.

30 This summer there will be many Christian camps and Vacation Bible Schools for children and teenagers. Pray that God will mightily equip their staff to speak and live out His truth before these young people, and that many accept and grow in Christ as their Savior.

31 This Memorial Day, thank the Lord for those who humbly and courageously sacrificed to establish our nation's freedoms. Pray that we will live sacrificially today to preserve those freedoms for future generations. May we never take them for granted!
