Ministry Updates

Our final week of Family Camp for the year just wrapped up this past week. We hosted over 230 families during the 9 weeks of camp. God did some amazing things, and families were able to pause, reconnect, and engage once again with each other and God.

"Fall Family Camp is the perfect blend of recreation, relaxation, and spiritual refreshment," says Luke, one of the 25 dads at Fall Family Camp. His wife and three kids have come to family camp for four years.

Luke's wife, Amanda, told me that the minute she stepped on the camp property, she began to relax. "Within two hours, I just realized the level of stress I'd been carrying."

Even the speaker, Tom Harmon, said he was refreshed this week. The families were challenged as he transparently shared that he's trying to take "hurry" out of his vocabulary. Jesus didn't hurry. Every parent understood the challenge of slowing down.

Luke and Amanda shared that Family Camp takes "hurry" out of their vocabulary. Everything at camp—the relationships, the worship, the scenery—says, "Rest. Enjoy. Why hurry?"

If you're looking for a great family vacation next year, you might just want to check out Life Action Family Camps. It's a great way to vacation with a purpose.
