I have never written at a time when I felt greater urgency.

Life Action is not an alarmist ministry. But there is no doubt we live in a season unparalleled in America’s past—and that is alarming. The prophet Jeremiah would be shouting urgently from the rooftops!

How unusual are the times in which we live? The economic outlook is certainly bleak. The rapidity of moral and social descent is almost surreal. Perhaps most startling are the claims that Christianity is inherently evil. Popular secularists now declare evangelicals to be the primary cause of the problems our nation faces.

Sadly, each day brings disturbing new evidence of this moral decadence. Most recently, President Obama declared the month of June to be “National Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month.”

Did you ever think this onslaught would occur in our generation?

But even more disconcerting is the complacency among God’s people. Where is the outrage? Where are the sustained movements of fasting, mourning, and prayer? Where are the Elijahs and John the Baptists of our day?

A few weeks ago, Life Action concluded its 38th season of ministry in local churches. Our teams finished summits in Kentucky, Missouri, and Pennsylvania, concluding what has perhaps been our most fruitful year of ministry ever.

Fifty-three communities experienced a measure of revival and an awakening to authentic Christianity. Souls were saved. Marriages were rescued. Families were restored. Whole churches were reconciled and transformed. In many lives and homes, a downward spiral was halted and reversed. Our beloved nation has fallen a long way, but just think how much further toward destruction we would be if it weren’t for the believers in thousands of churches across America who really care. Awakening this spiritual remnant is the hope of our nation, and our strongest deterrent to total disaster. This is the mission you have been a part of, and one our staff is deeply passionate about.

Right now, we are preparing to send our three teams back out for another year of impacting local communities with the life-changing truths of revival. We will be retooling them with necessary equipment and ministry resources, and we will once again be taking truth to the most grassroots level ... individual hearts.

Would you please pray and see if the Lord would allow you to be a part of this annual summer “equipping” project? The total need is $130,000. These funds will be used for vehicle repairs and replacement, as well as A/V equipment, print resources, and more. It will also help us get through the summer months, when giving generally slows down.
