Ministry Prayer Calendar

"O holy Child of Bethlehem,
Descend to us, we pray.
Cast out our sin and enter in;
Be born in us today."

- Phillips Brooks, 1867

1 With the year quickly drawing to a close, please pray that the Lord will prompt hearts to give financially toward our year-end ministry needs for spreading the cause of revival and spiritual awakening.

2 The road teams are on Christmas break this month. Ask God to give them an enjoyable, restful time with their families and friends, and to prepare their hearts for the coming months of ministry.

3
The Road Team leadership are meeting this month to encourage each other, review the previous months' ministries, and seek the Lord for the spring travel season. Pray for joy, unity, wisdom, and guidance.

4 Revive Our Hearts earnestly desires to see God's Spirit move worldwide, transforming women's minds and hearts, enabling them to discern cultural lies and live out God's truth so they can confront and change our culture. Pray that the three True Woman '10 conferences will be a great means toward this end.

5 The Revival Conference Team returns today from their mission trip to El Salvador. Pray that their ministry there will bear much fruit and that the team will have a safe journey home.

6 Jim and Linda Bever have faithfully and diligently served with Life Action for seven years. Praise the Lord for their excellent work and hospitable spirits, and ask Him to richly bless them with continued health and strength for the days ahead.

7 Please pray that God will awaken His people this Christmas season to the amazing wonder of His love and forgiveness, empowering them to actively share it with others.

8 Collegiate Impact has just completed the first semester of their Jericho Partnership with Montana State University. Please continue to pray for God's reviving presence as they minister at MSU throughout the spring semester.

9 Ken and Jane Oswald have served at The Lodge for the last five years, ministering to pastors and their wives through their superb cooking. Pray that God will continue to give them good health and strength, and pray specifically that God will heal Ken's knee, which has given him continual problems.

10 Please pray that as Nancy Leigh DeMoss continually sows God's Word into her mind and heart, specific messages for the True Woman '10 conferences will take shape through the faithful work of God's Spirit.

11 Fervently pray for the Lord to begin working in the hearts and lives of the women planning to attend True Woman '10. Pray that the seeds planted will bear fruit that will change lives and nations for God's glory until Christ returns.

12 The Heart-Cry for Revival conference ended a month ago. Pray that the Christian leaders who attended are now actively and effectively sharing and applying revival truths with others who will share and apply them as well.

13 Byron Paulus is speaking today at Longview Heights Baptist Church in Olive Branch, Mississippi, in pre-summit meetings. Pray that the Lord will mightily prepare and ignite the people's hearts for revival.

14 Ted Kadow, a member of our Staff Services Department, and his wife, Sandy, plan to retire soon. They would covet your prayers for their home to sell quickly, in God's perfect timing.

15 Today is Life Action's annual staff Christmas dinner. Please pray that it would be an encouraging time of coming together as a community to celebrate and worship Jesus.

16 Please lift up the financial needs of many of our staff families, asking God to enable and quicken the hearts of those He would have give to help meet those needs.

17 Sandy Bixel is the ever cheerful and hardworking Executive Assistant to Nancy Leigh DeMoss. She requests prayer that she would daily desire, above all else, time in God's Word.

18 Intercede for the women attending the True Woman '10 conferences in Chattanooga, Indianapolis, and Ft. Worth next year. Ask God to reveal to them the work He wants to accomplish in their hearts. Pray that they will not make excuses or ignore His promptings, and that they will determine to listen and obey Him no matter the cost.

19 Pray for the poor, hurting, and lonely in your community today. Ask God how you might share His love with them this Christmas. It could be anything from a phone call or note to a meal or gift.

20 "O come, O come, Emmanuel" and be "God with us" not in name only but also in our daily lives. May God ransom His church from this world and ransom Israel, the apple of His eye, from all false messiahs.

21 Lauren Davis, who works in our Graphic Design Department, has served with Life Action for five years. Please pray that God will grant her strength and wisdom in her daily life and peace and joy in her relationship with Him.

22
Ask God to give our Pastoral Services Department insight into our staff's needs and concerns, and wisdom as they counsel and teach.

23 This past year, our quarterly magazine Revive was well received, impacting many. Pray that God will give the publishing and design staff insight and wisdom for future issues.

24 On this holy Christmas Eve, pray that God will give His people around the world tender hearts that will savor His redeeming grace and truly allow Him to be Lord over their lives.

25
"Joy to the world, the Lord is come!" Rejoice and praise God that Jesus not only came and removed sin's curse but that He now reigns with truth and grace. May we, His redeemed, joyfully resound this most glorious news to all who have not yet heard.

26
Pray for your unsaved family and friends today. Ask God to graciously and mightily work in their lives so that they become desperate for Him and His gift of salvation.

27
During this last critical week of the year, pray that God would direct those He would have give to Revive Our Hearts' and Life Action's year-end financial needs.

28
Please thank God with us for the changed lives in this past fall's revival summits, THIRST conferences, pastors' retreats, family camps, radio programs, and more.

29 Sunu Thomas, a member of Collegiate Impact, will be in Portland, Oregon, today through January 1 to minister at Campus Crusade's annual year-end regional conference. Pray for the Spirit to work through him to reach these campus leaders in the Northwest.

30 Tonight, Life Action Camp will begin its first Resolution retreat, held New Year's weekend. Pray for the families as they travel, and pray for Tom Harmon as he challenges them with "strapping on" God's priorities in the New Year.

31 As 2009 ends, thank God for His unfailing faithfulness. Ask that we will be more faithful than ever to be still, behold, and adore Christ our Lord in 2010. Only as we steadfastly look to Christ can we be changed into His likeness and positively impact our world for eternity.
